May Day bank holiday can only mean one thing. The annual Woodhouse May Day challenge.
I missed the first one but I seem to think I’ve run the rest. This annual run is a huge fund raiser for all sorts of good causes and caters for all kinds of abilities.
There aren’t many races where the town (village?) crier gets you all sorted out beforehand and even less places where the local Women’s Institiute and butchers shop feed you like royalty when you’ve finished.
On their website, they conveniently add an OS map, with contours.
The print out from my TomTom running watch may give a few more clues to the fact they call it a ‘challenge’ and not a run! The dark line (at the bottom) is the profile!
