Yesterday I took a few snaps of barges on the canal near Kilby Bridge in South Leicestershire.
Although I tok the pictures at very high resolution with a good camera (each picture started life as a 34MB RAW file), they were snaps and they were pretty dull.
The pictures on this post have started from the same originals but have been edited for about 2 minutes each.
The pictures have simply had the levels adjusted (to give a fuller dynamic range), had the highlights and shadows tweaked a bit and also been cropped so the subject is a focal point on the ‘rules of thirds’.
The colours have not been adjusted as I’m colour blind and tend not to mess too much with those buttons, sliders and other tools!
